The Agricultural Information Engineering Technology Research Center of South China Agricultural University was established in January 2012. The team leader is Professor Kangshun Li. And the team currently has 5 professors, 12 associate professors, 2 lecturers and other researchers, and more than 70 PhD and master students. It has applied projects of 9 National Natural Science Foundation and 21 provincial projects, and supervised 14 doctoral students, more than 50 masters and 5 young teachers. The center address is in room 632, School of mathematics and informatics, South China Agricultural University.

    Research filed of the center:
　　(1) Identification of agricultural diseases and insect pests
　　(2) Artificial intelligence;
　　(3) Machine learning;
　　(4) Computer vision;
　　(5) Agricultural big data modeling and analysis;
　　(6) Agricultural Internet of things.

    With the application of agricultural informatization as the background, the center carries out research on agricultural informatization data collection, big data modeling and analysis, data mining, machine learning, image recognition and other aspects. The center aims at cultivating talents of agricultural informatization and serving local economy, and provides talents and technical support for accelerating the development of agricultural informatization.
