Industrial Engineering and management is an integrated system of personnel, materials, equipment, Energy and information, which comprehensively utilizes engineering technology, Modern Management Technology, System Science, Computer and Information Technology, etc. , it is an interdisciplinary subject to solve the problems of Engineering and management systematically.
The South China Agricultural University established the Systems Engineering in 1991, changed its name to Management Science and Engineering in 1998, and was awarded the First Level Master of Science degree in 2006, in 2011, based on the Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering, Agricultural Engineering Master of Science in Industrial Engineering Field. In 2018, the Ministry of Education adjusted the industrial engineering field in the Engineering Master’s Category to the engineering management professional degree, and the Industrial Engineering Field in the Engineering Master’s category was adjusted to the Industrial Engineering and Management Field in the engineering management category to recruit students. There are currently 10 Masters tutors in this field, including 3 professors and 6 associate professors, all of whom have doctorates.
