Engineering Research Center of Guangdong Province —— Guangdong Agricultural Big Data Engineering Research Center

Guangdong Agricultural Big Data Engineering Technology Research Center (hereinafter referred to as “Engineering Center”) was established in September 2017, is a Guangdong Province Department of Science and Technology recognized by the Engineering Center. Prior to the establishment of the center, the South China Agricultural University was established in January 2016, and set up in July 2017 by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture recognized by the “Guangdong modern agriculture (Big Data) Industry Technology R & D Center. ”. The Director of the Center is Professor Xiao Deqin. His research interests include advanced agricultural sensors and intelligent information processing, monitoring and management of plant and animal production, internet of things and industrial big data. She presided over more than 40 scientific research projects, obtained more than 20 software works registration, owned 8 National Patents, published more than 100 papers, chief editor of 5, participated in 3, SCI/EI recorded more than 50. In addition, the Engineering Center set up academician Luo Xiwen as the director, Academician Zhao Chunjiang as the Deputy Director, a total of 9 members of the Academic Committee.

The Engineering Center has 6 professors, 7 associate professors, 8 other researchers and more than 20 graduate students. In the last three years, the R & D Team of the Engineering Center is responsible for more than 30 projects of the national “Fifteen” key R & D program, the National Spark Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Key Area R & D program, the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, the Guangdong Science and Technology program, and the construction of agricultural industrial parks in Guangdong Province, the project cost more than 20 million yuan.

The main research findings of the Engineering Center include: Agricultural Big Data Acquisition, transmission and storage standards, agricultural big data acquisition equipment and Intelligent Gateway Research and development, Agricultural Big Data Platform Research and development, based on agricultural big data analysis, mining and Precision Management, agricultural information consulting and planning.
