1. Master’s Degree Authorization Level 1 discipline: Mathematics discipline

Mathematics was founded at the beginning of the school, in 2002 began to recruit undergraduate students majoring in mathematics, in 2006 under the discipline of Biology, set up a second Mathematical and Theoretical Biology, in 2011 received a master’s degree in the discipline of mathematics, in 2012, “Applied Mathematics” was selected as a key discipline in Guangdong Province, and in 2019, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics were selected as national first-class undergraduate majors. After years of construction, has gradually formed the basic mathematics, Applied Mathematics, probability and statistics and other characteristics, with a reasonable age, title, academic structure of the teaching staff. As of November 2020, there are 75 full time teachers, 7 professors, 30 associate professors, 36 lecturers and 2 experimenters. One national-level teacher, one guangdong-level teacher, two Nanyue-level teachers, two guangdong-level young teachers, two South China Agricultural University teachers and eight South China Agricultural University Teachers.

The subject research team has long been engaged in the research of the basic theory and application of mathematics, there are five main areas of study: Functional Analysis Theory and applications, complex analysis theory and applications, harmonic analysis theory and applications, partial differential equation theory and applications, statistics and big data, especially in functional analysis theory and application, harmonic analysis theory and application, partial differential equation theory and application of three research areas to form a certain feature.


2. Master’s degree in Computer Science and Technology

Computer Science and Technology Discipline covers computer system structure, computer software and theory, Computer Application Technology Three Master two disciplines. Computer Systems Architecture studies the architecture of computer systems, including the software and hardware of embedded system and communications systems, and computer software and theory in response to the changing needs of computer development and application environments, to explore new theories and methods of software engineering, and to solve the problems of network, intelligence, cooperation and high credibility of computer software The subject of computer applied technology has penetrated into all fields of modern science and technology, and is the most direct and extensive subject to economic development and social progress.

This discipline focuses on the principles, techniques and methods involved in the application of computers in data processing and agriculture, in artificial intelligence, Network Space Security, cloud computing and Big Data, computer vision, intelligent information processing, data mining, software engineering and other aspects of research.
