And prepare for the selection of outstanding works for the 2021“Challenge Cup, ” the National Competition for college students’ extracurricular scientific and technological work, our school plans to hold the South China Agricultural University 2020“Ding Ying Cup” and “Challenge Cup” Guangdong extra-curricular academic and technological competition in october-december. And our hospital will hold in-house tryouts from October to November.

2. Target participants
The competition is open to 2021 students who are enrolled in our university before June 1, and master’s degree students (not including in-service graduate students) .
Competition Declaration requirements
1. The competition works are divided into three categories: academic papers of Natural Science, survey reports of philosophy and social science, and academic papers and scientific and technological invention-making. The requirements of the works are scientific, advanced and of practical significance. All entries must be student-oriented, completed independently and able to participate in the exhibition. Graduation design and course design (thesis) , Academic Year thesis and degree thesis, international competition on the winning works, the National Award results can not participate in the competition.
2. FORM OF APPLICATION:
(1) personal declaration: The applicant shall undertake more than 60% of the research work of the declared work, and the first author shall be the signature on the work appraisal certificate, patent certificate and related published works, and the collaborators shall be students and not more than two persons.
(2) Collective Declaration: If the author of more than three items, or not more than three items can not distinguish the first author, must declare collective works. Teams applying for collective works may form a project research team across colleges, disciplines, specialties, and grades. The total number of authors of collective works shall not exceed 10. Cross-college, cross-subject application project, by the collective project representative to apply to the school, works can be in the instructor (1-3
) , the design is mainly designed by students and written by students independently.
3. CATEGORIES OF WORK: The categories of application are divided into the following three:
(1) academic papers in natural sciences. Entry is for undergraduates only. Entries are classified as follows: A. Machinery and control (including machinery, instrumentation, automation control, engineering, traffic, construction, etc.) ; B. Information Technology (including computers, telecommunications, communications, electronics, etc.) ;. Mathematics (including mathematics, physics, Earth and space science, etc.). Life Sciences (including biology, agronomy, pharmacy, medicine, health, hygiene, food, etc.). Energy and chemical industry (including energy, material, petroleum, chemistry, Chemical Industry, Ecology, environmental protection, etc.).
(2) Social Investigation Report and academic paper of philosophy and social science. His works belong to the fields of philosophy, economy, society, Law, education and management.
(3) scientific and technological invention-making. It can be divided into two categories: Category A refers to the high-tech content, production of larger inputs; category B refers to less input, and for the production of technology or social life to bring convenience to the small inventions, small production and so on. The classification of works is the same as those of natural science.
4. The projects of “climbing plan”“innovation dream workshop” in 2019 and 2020(except those that have participated in the twelve “Challenge Cup” Guangdong University Student Entrepreneurship Competition) need to take part in this competition and set up a single selection quota.
4. Assessment Criteria and award setting:
EVALUATION CRITERIA
The judging criteria are based on the scientific, advanced and realistic significance of the entries. Among them, the academic papers of natural science focus on examining the leading edge and academic nature of the academic exploration of basic disciplines, the social investigation reports and academic papers of philosophy and social sciences lay stress on the combination degree and forward-looking significance of assessment with the hot and difficult issues of economic and social development, and the scientific and technological invention-making lay stress on the application value and transformation prospect of assessment works.
(1) IN-HOUSE EVALUATION: The Youth League Committee of our college will carry out the evaluation work and select outstanding works in the form of reply meeting to participate in the school competition. (2) School Review: The first review. The application form and works of the internal and format content of the preliminary screening.
Review of the work. Organize the relevant experts and judges in and out of the school to evaluate and select the works.
A plea of last resort. The final hearing will be conducted in the form of panel + on-the-spot defense. The judges will score the performance of the teams on the spot defense.
2. Awards

Select outstanding works with high academic and theoretical level, practical application value and innovative significance, to award certificates of honor, and to recognize and reward authors and instructors, the winning entries will be the focus of our school’s participation in the sixteen “Challenge Cup” extra-curricular science and technology competition for Guangdong University students, as well as the 2021“climbing project” and “Innovation Dream Workshop” project.
Schedule of activities
1. Commencement (19 October 2020 to 13 November 2020) :
The Youth League Committee of our college will hold a preliminary contest within the college, do a good job in collecting and selecting works, and select outstanding works to participate in school competitions, in order to better promote the exchange of projects in different levels and categories, the proportion of graduate program and undergraduate program will be taken into account in the selection of projects.
2. Academy submission phase, November 13,2020
The Youth League Committee of our college will submit the selected works to the Youth League Committee of the University. The relevant experts and judges inside and outside the university will evaluate the selected works.
3. Summary Recognition Phase (22 December 2020 to 25 December 2020) :
On the basis of the selected works, the school will award and commend the winning projects and organizations in the 2020“Ding Ying Cup” and “Challenge Cup” Guangdong extra-curricular academic and technological works competition.

1. How to apply: Each team will have a maximum of 10 participants. Each team member can only participate in one event. Teams may be formed across colleges to apply at the team leader’s College. 2.
