May 15, 2019, Pedrycz Witold Pedrycz, a professor of Alberta University, Canada, internationally renowned computer expert and chief editor of the Journal of Information Science (SCI 1), came to our school to give an academic lecture at the invitation of Li Kangshun, a professor of college of Mathematics and Informatics. The subject of the lecture was: “Granular Data Descriptors and Their Generative and Discriminative Facets”. The report gave a detailed introduction of the generation of granular data and the application of granularity model on classification issues and other aspects.

More than 40 doctoral students, master students and teachers participated in the lecture. In the course of the report, everyone was enthusiastic and interacted with professor Witold Pedrycz. It was agreed that the report vividly elaborated the concept, description and calculation algorithm of granularity model, and stimulated everyone’s strong interest in this field.
After the lecture, professor Witold Pedrycz had a face-to-face academic exchange with everybody. During the communication, professor Witold Pedrycz answered everyone’s academic question.
That afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30, professor Witold provided targeted one-to-one correct positioning guidance to 8 doctoral and master students in relevant fields.
