Agricultural Informatization Engineering Technology Research Center relied on college of Mathematics and Informatics of South China Agricultural University is approved as a research institute in 2012.

The research center is based on agricultural system engineering and management engineering, agricultural information management and information system and intelligent processing of agricultural information to be research fields. Currently, there are 19 researcher including 4 professors, 8 associate professors and 7 lecturers. In addition, 17 people have gotten PhD and 14 young researchers are less than 40 years old. Besides, the experimental area is more than 80 square meters.

The research center is a professional research institute of agricultural informatization engineering technology based on intelligent processing of agricultural information which embraces 3 research directions and requirements of agricultural industrial development and innovated technology combined with our own advantages.

During 2013 to 2016, we have cultivated 61 graduate students including 53 master students and 8 PhD students

Researchers have published 56 papers as first author by international magazines, Chinese core publications and international conferences among 19 SCI papers, 18 EI papers, 4 authorized invention patents and 2 software copyrights.
