Xiao Deqin, works at South China Agricultural University(Scau), college of mathematics and informatics (software). She is Ph.D., Professor, doctoral supervisor, deputy director of Guangdong Agricultural Breeding IoT engineering technology center, director of Scau Agricultural big data engineering center, academic leader of the computer system structure secondary discipline of Scau, chief teacher of Scau undergraduates majoring in network engineering .

Professor Xiao is primarily responsible for courses including computer network, wireless network technology, wireless networks and mobile computing. Her scientific research work includes video big data analysis, video surveillance, software design and development, agriculture IoT and other scientific research and application promotion. She has hosted for more than 10 software copyright registration, obtained 1 patent of invention, 3 utility patents and 3 invention patents are opening, published over 80 papers, with which EI indexes more than 30 and SCI indexes 5. She is chief editor of 5 books, co-editor of 3 books .
