My name is Hongyi Peng. I’m from Hengyang, Hunan Province, which is located in the middle of China and well-known for its pleasant climate and beautiful scenery. I got my PhD at Sun Yat-sen University in 2006. I’m a professional teacher of South China Agricultural University in Guangzhou city, teaching statistics to undergraduates and doing research on data mining. My main focus is on variable selection of big data involved in numerical simulation. I like my job very much. I like my two holidays when I enjoy the freedom of doing my own business, research, traveling, or visiting my parents. In addition, flextime allows me to decide by myself when to start and when to finish my work on condition that my own teaching work should be well done.
